Web Checkin is a feature designed to reduce no-shows by asking your workers to check in online before their shifts, just like for a flight. Schedulehead will email your workers in advance and ask them to click a link, which checks them in. You can customize this by changing the amount of time before the email is sent, or turn Web Checkin off altogether.
48 Hours before your minimum check-in time*
Schedulehead emails each worker and asks them to "check in" for their shift.
In doing so, it reminds your workers that they have an upcoming shift.
Confirming shifts like this reduces confusion and no-shows.
* This is just an example, you can change 48 hours to whatever you like
Who checked in?
The Shifts page will show you who has checked in and who hasn't.
If a worker has checked in, their box will be green. If not, it will remain grey.
Additionally, at the minimum check-in time before the shift, you will receive an email detailing who has checked in and who hasn't.
What if the worker didn't get the email?
That would be unusual, but a worker can manually check in by logging in, navigating to their current shifts, and clicking on the check in link next to the shift. This only appears once the check-in emails are sent out.
